The Restoration Project and PNRR Funds
In 2022, a major restoration and enhancement project was launched for the entire rural settlement of Tenuta Darola, with the aim of giving this unique place back to the local community, schools, and associations.
The project stems from the desire to create a space open to culture, memory, and the discovery of the rural landscape of the Vercelli area, in dialogue with the historical and architectural heritage of Vercelli and the nearby municipality of Trino. An initial restoration phase was carried out thanks to PNRR funds dedicated to the protection and enhancement of rural architecture and landscape, through the restoration of the façades of the eastern portion of the settlement, with the support of the Piedmont Region.
Starting from June 2026, the site will be open to visitors through guided tours dedicated to citizens, schools, and groups.
